The management of Marigold Restaurant has been delighting Sydney with Cantonese cuisine for 39 years.  Beginning in 1982 with “old Marigold”, the first Hong Kong style Chinese restaurant in Sydney, at 299 Sussex Street and then in 1986 Regal Restaurant at the corner of Sussex and Liverpool Streets which was famous for its lavish banquets, Marigold at the Citymark Building on George Street is the third restaurant in the group.  The first two restaurants were well-loved by Sydneysiders and traded for over 20 years before they were closed due to redevelopment of their premises.

Marigold wants to share with you our passion for Cantonese cuisine.  Cantonese cuisine originated in the Guangdong province in southern China where there is an abundance of fresh ingredients from seafood, to meats, to vegetables.  Hence, its cooking style has a strong emphasis on the freshness and light treatment of ingredients.  We strive to bring you the diversity, refinement and richness of the best of Cantonese cuisine through our yum cha, a la carte dishes and banquets.
